Legal internships and applications

Legal / procedural information
Outside of ongoing proceedings, the Federal Criminal Court does not take a position on specific legal or procedural questions.
I can’t find a decision in the database — what should I do?
The Federal Criminal Court generally publishes all its decisions in the database.
If you cannot find a specific decision, please contact the Press Office (presse@bstger.ch), which can provide you with the relevant information.
Apostille requests
All apostille requests must be submitted by regular mail and addressed to the General Secretariat.
Attendance of hearings
Hearings are generally open to the public. To enter the court building, visitors must present an identity document and wear appropriate attire (no shorts, no flip-flops, etc.). We recommend announcing your presence in advance via the contact form. Persons under the age of sixteen require authorization from the presiding judge in order to attend public hearings.

I have a question about accreditation — who should I contact?

I am an accredited journalist and I’m about to change employer — what do I need to report?
You must inform the Court (presse@bstger.ch) of your new email address for correspondence, any new contact details, and provide confirmation from your new employer.
I am a journalist and would like to receive an indictment — how can I request it?
- Accredited journalists may request and receive a copy of the indictment from the Court. This document is generally provided fourteen days before the start of the hearings.
- The Court does not send indictments to accredited journalists automatically.
